Established in 1988 and acquired in 2003, the Aqaba Processing Company - ASEZA is a result of a venture between Rice Growers cooperatives ltd. of Australia (Sun Rice) and Nader Group.
Aqaba Processing Company (APC) owns and operates the rice and grain handling silos at Aqaba port (with its own berth). APC has the capability to discharge a bulk grain vessel into its silos that can take up to 50,000 tons of grains and perform further processing for rice such as sort, screen and polish; pack into any bag size between 1 kg.- 50 kg. and load trucks for onward delivery to any area within the region
The facility is capable of handling around 400,000 m/tons of rice per year, and loads about 1,000 mts of rice per day directly onto trucks for onward delivery.
